Leddy completed her playing career at NDSU with the 2019 season, when she was named the Summit League’s Pitcher of the Year after posting a 1.85 ERA and twenty-one wins in the circle on the year. Rhonda Revelle will be immediately reinstated as the head coach at Nebraska softball, the school announced on Sunday night. Revelle was placed on administrative leave on July 9th; at that time, Nebraska athletics released a statement that read, in part, “We take seriously any concerns raised regarding our student athletes. ORIGINAL STORY: Western Illinois head coach Beth Golitko is leaving the Leathernecks to accept an assistant coaching position at Loyola Chicago. The news was released by Golitko on her personal social media pages. Neither school has confirmed the transactions. Tennessee Tech has hired Michelle DePolo as the program’s new head coach, the school announced earlier in the week. DePolo most recently spent nine years as the head coach at Army, a tenure that ended prior to the 2019 season. During her time at the helm of the Black Knights, DePolo collected 280 wins and led the program to an NCAA tournament berth in 2013. James Madison announced the addition of transfer pitcher Alexis Bermudez on Wednesday afternoon. Bermudez, who entered the NCAA’s transfer portal in early August, heads to Harrisonburg with two years of eligibility remaining. Heather Gelbard has been hired as the volunteer assistant coach at South Carolina, the school announced on Monday. Gelbard spent the 2019 season as the interim head coach at Florida International, leading the Panthers to a 26-25 overall record, with a 7-16 conference showing. Georgia Southern has named Brock Van Faussien as the program’s new assistant coach. Van Faussien spent the 2019 season as an assistant coach at Pittsburgh. In his new position, he will work with the Georgia Southern offense.
