Maryland and head coach Julie Wright have parted ways, the school announced on Wednesday evening. Wright’s departure was termed as a “resignation” in a Maryland press release that included statements from Wright and athletic director Damon Evans. Jamie Stanclift has been named the new head coach at Division II Wingate, according to a school press release late last month. Stanclift has already made the first addition to her coaching staff, hiring Kansas alum Chaley Brickey as an assistant coach. Brickey confirmed her hiring to JWOS. An Akron and Wichita State alum, Stanclift spent the last six years as the head coach at NAIA Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas. Alysen Febrey is transferring to Oklahoma State, the school announced on Friday afternoon. Febrey becomes the latest high-profile transfer to join the Cowgirls; she follows former ACC standouts Carrie Eberle and Hayley Busby, who each announced their transfer to OSU earlier in the summer. Immediately eligible to play for the Cowgirls, Febrey has a single season of eligibility remaining. Missouri and head coach Larissa Anderson have agreed to a contract extension, according to documents reviewed by JWOS as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. Team USA announced on Friday the thirty players that will participate in tryouts for a spot on the 2020 Olympic roster. The tryout is scheduled to take place October 1-6 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
