Courtney Oliver has resigned as East Carolina head coach, the school announced on Saturday morning.
Oliver spent six seasons leading the ECU program, and collected a 125-166 overall record during her tenure. The Pirates also collected a 29-73 showing in conference play.
The abbreviated 2020 season was the only time that the Pirates finished above the .500 mark during Oliver’s tenure, though her 6-year stint did see her preside over ECU’s first AAC tournament victory in 2017.
In 2021, the Pirates finished the season with a 16-33 overall record and a 7-17 showing in conference play. The conference win total was the 2nd-highest of Oliver’s tenure. ECU was eliminated in the first round of the AAC tournament in a 4-3 defeat at the hands of UCF.
Prior to taking the helm at East Carolina, Oliver’s coaching resume included stops at NC State, Boston, Monmouth, and Hofstra, her alma mater.
