TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Wisconsin announced an extension of softball coach Yvette Healy’s contract on Friday.
Healy’s contract will now run through the 2026 season; she was one of nine head coaches in the Badger athletic department that had their contracts extended en masse by a vote of the UW Athletic Board on Friday.
The 2021 season marked Healy’s eleventh at the helm of the Badgers’ program. She led the Badgers to three straight NCAA tournament appearances from 2017-19 and helmed the squad to a 9th-place finish during the tumultuous 2021 campaign that included conference-only play.
Under Healy’s guidance, the Badgers won the Big Ten tournament in 2013 and earned at-large berths to the NCAA tournament in each year of the afore-mentioned 3-year stretch in 2017, ’18, and ’19.
Prior to her tenure at Wisconsin, Healy was the head coach at Loyola Chicago and an assistant coach at her alma mater, DePaul.
