TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Justin Shults will be named the next head coach at Boise State, sources confirmed to JWOS on Tuesday morning.
Shults spent the last three seasons as the hitting coach at Oregon, and helped lead the Ducks to a top-10 ranking and a pair of wins over eventual PAC-12 champion UCLA during the 2021 season.
Prior to his tenure with the Ducks, Shults spent two seasons on staff at Fresno State and an additional pair of seasons at Miami Ohio.
A former collegiate baseball player at UC Riverside, Shults was an All-American in 2010 and spent one season in the Houston Astros’ organization.
He takes over a Boise State program that assembled a 70-52 record over the last three seasons and earned back-to-back NCAA tournament berths in 2018 and 2019, including an at-large bid in the latter season. The Broncos were 20-25 during the 2021 season.
