TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
The Georgia coaching staff has its final full-time member.
J.T. D’Amico will be named the Bulldogs’ top assistant, sources confirmed to JWOS. D’Amico’s hiring follows the addition of Chelsea Wilkinson as pitching coach, which JWOS exclusively reported on on Saturday.
D’Amico, primarily a defensive coach who also served as the first base coach at Washington, spent fourteen years on the Huskies’ staff. Under his guidance, the Huskies’ defense excelled and set a program-record for fewest errors in a single season in 2021. D’Amico also tutored five PAC-12 Defensive Players of the Year during his tenure in Seattle.
In 2013, D’Amico served as the head coach of the USSSA Pride and led the franchise to a pro league championship. Prior to joining the staff at UW, he was formerly a high school baseball coach.
