TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
South Carolina is hiring Katie Repole and Kevin Maguire to fill out their coaching staff, sources confirmed to JWOS on Monday morning.
The pair will join remaining assistant Kaela Jackson to fill out Bev Smith’s staff with the Gamecocks. Repole will serve as a full-time assistant while Maguire will be the volunteer assistant coach.
Repole was most recently the volunteer assistant coach at SEC foe Texas A&M, while Maguire joins the Gamecocks after serving as a head coach at the travel ball level.
In addition to spending the last three seasons as the volunteer assistant at Texas A&M, Repole’s coaching resume also includes three years as an assistant coach at Virginia. She worked with the outfield corps at both schools and was the recruiting coordinator while at UVA. She played collegiately at Illinois and Louisiana-Lafayette.
Maguire was most recently a head coach for the Lady Lightning Gold travel ball organization and led his 16U program to the inaugural Alliance Fastpitch Super Regional round this past week. A former baseball player, Maguire is also the father of former Gamecocks standout Kenzi Maguire.
