Tristan Wilcox has been announced as the new head coach at Division II Purdue Northwest.
Wilcox joins the Pride program following four years as an assistant coach at Dayton; during her time with the Flyers, she served in a variety of capacities, including as the program’s recruiting coordinator.
Serving as the hitting coach during her time at Dayton, Wilcox helped lead the Flyers to a trio of consecutive appearances in the Atlantic 10 conference tournament. Under her guidance, the 2017 edition of the Flyers set a program single-season record with 95 doubles on the year.
Prior to her tenure at Dayton, Wilcox’s resume includes two years as a graduate assistant at her alma mater, Aurora University. She also spent a single season on staff at Hillsdale College.
During her playing career at Aurora, Wilcox was named the Northern Athletic Conference’s Player of the Year as a senior and twice earned her school’s Female Athlete of the Year award. She was a four-time all-conference selection, and a three-time first-team all-region honoree.
Purdue Northwest finished the abbreviated 2020 season with a 2-7 overall record.
