Of course we're going to talk about the Mary Nutter and the nationwide string of upsets. Is that even a question? But with the JWOS Spring Road Trip stopping in Birmingham this week, and with a deceptively-impressive tournament field in action, there was some really solid softball taking place on the dirt at Mary Bowers Field. Here were some of my takeaways from the quartet of teams that took the field in Birmingham:
