Between Halloween-themed practices and workouts last week and extra dressing-up over the weekend, college softball players and coaches had some serious ingenuity and creativity on display this Halloween. We compiled some of our very favorites for your viewing enjoyment!

The photo at the top is Saint Louis infielder Chloe Wendling – the Cat in the Hat fielding grounders was our favorite “action shot” of Halloween 2021.

The Miami coaching staff pulled off a stellar recreation of a photo from popular show Ted Lasso. The costumes were so good, the show’s official Instagram reposted the effort.
The LSU bullpen were Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, with head coach Beth Torina even hitting grounders during practice in her full-length Snow White costume. Other members of the staff were everything from the Apple to the Mirror
There’s the San Diego State coaching staff as five central characters from the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The Delaware staff and family recreated the main characters from Disney’s The Little Mermaid – take note of head coach Jen Steele’s impressive commitment to being Flounder!
One of four group costumes at Abilene Christian, meet “The Mikes” – including Michael Jordan, Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc, Mike Tyson, Michael Scott from The Office, and others.
Canisius head coach Kim Griffin was part of a well-executed group costume, four central characters from the 1990s show Home Improvement! Including Tim “The Toolman” Taylor, Heidi, Al Borland, and Wilson.
More Willy Wonka – this time, it’s a group costume featuring players from UC-Riverside!
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the Illinois State strength coach should be VERY flattered at the team’s group-wide single costume!
Chattanooga softball had some serious originality with their costumes this year – we couldn’t pick just one! Here’s Benjamin Franklin, a “Fork in the Road”, “Life Alert”, and nuns!
Ronald and his Fries – from Central Michigan softball!
Former BYU star Libby Sugg as Rubeus Hagrid from Harry Potter
UMBC head coach Chris Kuhlmeyer as a clown – if coaching doesn’t work out for the back-to-back conference champion, then the circus is a real possibility!
Last but not least… Arkansas head coach Courtney Deifel as Ted Lasso.
