Two-time MEAC Player of the Year will become a Razorback.
Ryan Jackson will join the Arkansas roster for the coming season after transferring from Bethune-Cookman.
Jackson was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018, her first two collegiate seasons, as she led the league in five offensive categories each year. She earned a pair of all-Region nominations during her tenure at Bethune-Cookman, including a first-team nod after the 2018 season.
As a freshman in 2017, Jackson led the MEAC with a .412 batting average and recorded fourteen home runs and forty-seven RBI. Her .483 on-base percentage and .771 slugging percentage also led the league.
In 2018, her sophomore campaign, Jackson hit .349, with a conference-topping .467 on-base percentage; seventeen home runs; and fifty RBI. Her fifty-four runs scored and 127 total bases on the season also led MEAC batters.
At Arkansas, Jackson is the latest high-profile transfer to join the Razorbacks since the end of the 2018 season. She joins an offense that includes fellow transfers Danielle Gibson and Braxton Burnside, who joined the Hogs from Arizona State and Missouri, respectively. During the 2018 season, Arkansas posted a 42-17 overall record, including a 12-12 mark in SEC play. The Razorbacks hosted a regional at Bogle Park and advanced to the Super Regional round before losing to Oklahoma in the best-of-three series.
