​Larrabee most recently was the head coach at Division II Central Washington, where he led that program for five years. While at CWU, Larrabee led the Wildcats to four consecutive conference championships and a pair of Regional berths. During his tenure with the program, Larrabee’s squad set a Great Northwest Atlantic Conference record for most consecutive regular-season titles.
A long-time high-level head coach, Larrabee spent four years at Wright State, leading that program to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances. He later was named head coach at Arkansas, where he also reached a pair of NCAA tournaments in six seasons as the Razorbacks’ leader. He also spent time on staff at Illinois from 2002-04, and coached Team USA.
Butler spent the 2019 season as the pitching coach at Incarnate Word, following a five-year stint as the associate head coach at Presbyterian. She also worked with the Blue Hose pitching staff during her stint with that program. Under her tutelage, the Blue Hose saw three pitchers named as all-conference selections.
In addition to her time at UIW and Presbyterian, Butler’s coaching resume also includes stints on staff at Temple; Utah State; and Eastern Kentucky. As a player, Butler was an all-conference honoree at Golden West Junior College before finishing her career at Eastern Kentucky.
Larrabee and Butler join Montgomery, who seeks to turn around a Terrapin program that went 20-31 during the 2019 season, including a 4-19 showing in conference play. The Terps batted .288 as a team, with a 5.84 cumulative ERA from the pitching staff.
