Southern Utah has made a change at the school’s head coaching position, announcing that Kortny Hall will not return as the program’s head coach.
Hall spent a single season as the Thunderbirds’ coach, leading the squad to a 6-34 overall record and a 4-14 showing in Big Sky Conference play. Under her guidance, the Thunderbirds posted a team batting average of .276 and a cumulative ERA of 6.84 on the 2019 season.
Before taking the reins at SUU, Hall spent a single season as an assistant coach for the Thunderbirds in 2018. Prior to joining the program, she spent three seasons as the head coach at Southern Virginia University, a Division III school in Buena Vista, Virginia.
During her tenure at Southern Virginia, Hall led the program to an 18-84 overall record; Hall’s squad went winless in her inaugural season as head coach and built up to winning eleven games in her final season with the program.
Hall’s coaching resume also includes time coaching at the high school level. As a player, Hall began her career at Phoenix College, where she won a junior college national championship in 2004. She finished her career at Southern Utah, earning a pair of all-conference first-team honors and leading the program to a regional appearance in 2006.
