Former Boston College pitcher Camryn Dolby is transferring to South Florida. Dolby announced her decision on social media late last week.
“Excited to announce that I will be continuing my softball career at the University of South Florida!!” Dolby posted on Instagram last week, captioning a photo of the USF program logo.
Dolby spent her freshman season at Boston College in 2019, with fifteen starts and forty-three appearances. She finished the year with a 10-10 overall record and 116 strikeouts in 101 innings of work. The strikeout mark led the BC pitching staff.
In addition to her strikeouts, Dolby finished her inaugural season with a 5.75 ERA and limited opponents to a batting average of .237. She recorded a pair of wins over Michigan State early in the season.
At South Florida, Dolby joins a pitching staff that posted a 2.14 team ERA during the 2019 season, with forty-one wins, 379 strikeouts, and a .201 opponent’s batting average. The Bulls advanced to the NCAA Tournament, where they were eliminated in the Tallahassee regional.
