Minot State has hired former Augustana assistant coach Nat Wagner as their new head coach.
Most recently, Wagner spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Augustana and was part of the coaching staff that led the Vikings to the 2019 national championship title. During his tenure, the Vikings posted a 143-42 overall record and appeared in the NCAA tournament in all three seasons.
Serving as the hitting coach and first-base coach for Augustana, Wagner helped the program to record-breaking marks in a number of statistical categories, including batting average and runs scored.
Prior to his tenure at Augustana, Wagner spent a single season as an assistant coach at Valley City State. His resume also includes time spent as a high school head coach.
Minot State finished the 2019 season with a 26-23 overall record, reaching the NSIC tournament.
