Florida State assistant coach Craig Snider will be named the new assistant coach at Texas A&M, according to sources close to the program.
Snider was part of the Florida State coaching staff that led the program to its first-ever National Championship in 2018. The staff was later named the NFCA’s National Coaching Staff of the Year.
The 2019 season marked Snider’s eighth as an assistant with the Seminoles; during his tenure on staff, the program made seven trips to the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament and six appearances in Oklahoma City at the Women’s College World Series.
In 2019, the Seminoles’ offense broke a number of program records for the second consecutive season. After setting a school mark for single-season home runs a year ago, the Noles’ offense broke into triple digits in the category for the first time in school history this season, with 105 roundtrippers. The Seminoles also set new single-season records in team batting average (.330) and slugging percentage (.601) for the second consecutive year.
Prior to joining the Florida State coaching staff, Snider spent time as an assistant coach at Stephen F. Austin, Oklahoma, Centenary, and Lindsey Wilson College, and has also served as an assistant coach for the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch league.
