I. 2019 Recap
St. John's won the Big East regular-season crown in 2019, though it was DePaul who recorded their third straight conference tournament championship and NCAA tournament berth. The Blue Demons were the only conference team to reach the postseason beyond the conference tournament.
A total of eight conference schools sponsor softball, including Butler; Creighton; DePaul; Georgetown; Providence; St. John's; Seton Hall; and Villanova. Two conference member schools do not field a softball program.
