TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Idaho State has named Andrew Rich as head coach, the school announced on Tuesday.
Rich spent the last three seasons on staff at Boise State, spending much of his tenure with the Broncos with the title of associate head coach. He helped guide the program to an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament in 2019, a year that also saw the Broncos earn two wins over PAC-12 foe Stanford in the NCAA tournament.
“In what was an extremely impressive pool of candidates, Coach Rich brought a level of enthusiasm, positivity, and attention to detail which could not quite be matched,” ISU Director of Athletics Pauline Thiros said in a school statement. “The team and staff responded extremely well to him, and it is clear he has the recruiting acumen, technical knowledge, and passion to be an excellent leader for Idaho State Softball.”
Prior to his tenure at Boise State, Rich spent two seasons on staff at Sonoma State and was previously on staff at Fresno State.
