Former collegiate pitcher Alyssia Palomino passed away on August 4th. She was 28 years old. Palomino began her collegiate playing career at Auburn in 2011, where she appeared in four games out of the bullpen. In her first career appearance, she pitched one inning and did not allow a base runner, helping her team to a win over Georgia Southern. She finished the season with two strikeouts and eight walks allowed. Runyon spent the 2020 season on staff at Division II Lynn University, though her single season with the program was abbreviated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ohio State has added transfer outfielder Cambry Arnold, the school announced on Monday morning. Arnold started her career at James Madison, playing three years for the Dukes before sitting out the 2020 season due to injury.
