TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Ragin Cajuns slugger Bailey Curry has entered the NCAA’s transfer portal, sources confirmed to JWOS on Tuesday morning.
Curry’s name appeared in the portal on Monday afternoon, and she carries a graduate transfer designation.
A hard-hitting slugger, Curry spent the last three seasons at Louisiana-Lafayette. Earning starts at catcher, first base, and designated player, Curry played in 130 games and collected a .298 batting average and fifteen home runs. She also notched eight doubles, 31 runs scored, and fifty walks during her Cajuns tenure.
In the Baton Rouge Regional final on Sunday, Curry pinch-hit and hit a 2-run home run against LSU that cut the Tigers’ lead late in the game.
Prior to joining the Cajuns, Curry was the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year in 2018 at Toledo. She earned an all-Region selection that year, as she posted a .362 batting average, fourteen home runs, and 46 RBIs. She also set the Toledo program record for single-season home runs.
Thanks to the NCAA’s extended eligibility waiver, Curry has one year of eligibility remaining.
