The former Cardinals great is one of six individuals and one team that will be officially inducted in a ceremony on January 31st.
Milian played for the Cardinals from 2007-10, earning a number of accolades and setting multiple program records during her career. She helped lead the program to their second-ever NCAA tournament appearance, with a berth in the Regional round in 2010.
At her career’s end, Milian owned eleven career and single-season statistical records, and her eighty-five career wins and 762 career strikeouts both remain atop the Ball State program record books. Her 932 career innings pitched is the program best, and ranks second all-time in the Mid-American Conference.
During the 2010 MAC tournament, Milian pitched every inning for her team, collecting a 4-0 record with a 0.25 ERA and forty strikeouts, en route to being named the tournament’s MVP. She earned all-MAC honors in 2008, ’09, and ’10, and was named an all-region selection in 2009 and 2010. She also earned the MAC’s Pitcher of the Year award in ’09.
Joining Milian in induction in the Cardinals’ Hall of Fame this year were Doug Bell (football); Dan Palombizio (basketball); Sarah Obras Steele (volleyball); Kolbrin Vitek (baseball); Pat Quinn (contributor); and the 2008 football team.
