Holub finished her playing career at FHSU in 2013 as one of the most decorated players in program history. At the end of her playing career, she owned thirty-four career; single-season; and single-game records, including nineteen that were set in the pitching circle and fifteen on the offensive side of the ball. A first-team all-American selection as a senior in 2013, Holub also earned a trio of all-region honors during her career.
As a senior during the 2013 season, Holub posted a 29-4 record with a 1.03 ERA, collecting 345 strikeouts in 224 innings of work. She assembled thirteen shutouts during that season, with six no-hitters and a pair of back-to-back perfect games. Her offensive performance included a .426 batting average; nineteen home runs; fifty-six RBIs; and sixty-two runs scored, as well as ten stolen bases. She was named the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association’s Player and Pitcher of the Year, the first player in conference history to earn both awards in the same season.
For her career, Holub posted a 1.97 ERA, seventy-seven wins, and 974 strikeouts, with ninety-three complete games to her credit. Offensively, she posted a .372 career batting average; forty-six home runs; ninety-five total extra base hits; 160 RBIs; and 183 runs scored.
After her collegiate playing career, Holub went onto play professionally in Italy and joined the collegiate coaching ranks, first at Division II Saint Leo, where she was named the NFCA’s D2 Assistant Coach of the Year in 2015. She currently serves as the pitching coach at Marshall.
