Perryman is one of five student-athletes selected as part of the 2020 class, and will also be inducted along with her teammates from the 2015 Triton softball team.
During her career at UMSL, which stretched from 2013-16, Perryman set a number of program records, and established herself as one of the all-time great pitchers in Division II. A four-time all-American selection, Perryman was the first athlete in program history to earn all-American honors in every season of her career.
At her collegiate career’s end, Perryman held the Division II all-time record in three different statistical categories, including perfect games (nine) and strikeouts (1,725). She also ranked in the top ten in D2 history in an additional trio of categories, including career wins (128). She earned a trio of Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Year awards, and was the first-ever Division II player to be drafted into the National Pro Fastpitch league.
The 2015 Tritons softball team earned the GLVC tournament championship for the third consecutive season, recording forty-eight wins and reaching the Super Regional round. Perryman set a number of individual records in the pitching circle, while the team boasted school-record 106 home runs during the year.
Slated to join Perryman and the ‘15 squad in induction in 2020 are Joe Atkisson (golf); Shweta Galande (golf); Ruth Harker (soccer); and Donnie Jolliff (baseball). The group will be officially enshrined in a ceremony on February 21st.
