Adrienne Clark has been hired as the next head coach at Hofstra, the school announced on Tuesday evening.
Clark, a program alumnus, spent the last three years on staff at Purdue, primarily working with the Boilermakers’ defense. During the 2021 season, the Boilermakers finished fourth in the Big 10 in fielding eleventh in the league’s standings at season’s end.
Prior to her tenure at Purdue, Clark spent four seasons on staff at UConn where she worked with the Huskies’ pitchers and catchers. Her resume also includes a 3-year stint as an assistant at Hofstra and tenures on staff at Columbia and Delaware.
During her time at Columbia, Clark additionally served as an associate professor of physical education. From 2011-14, she trained with the US Bobsled and Skeleton Federation in an attempt to qualify for the Winter Olympic Games.
As a player at Hofstra, Clark ranks in the top 10 in five statistical categories in the team’s record book. All pitching records, those marks include a 8th-place ranking in career ERA with a 1.77 number.
