North Texas pitcher Hope Trautwein has entered the NCAA’s transfer portal, sources confirmed to JWOS on Tuesday.
Through the NCAA’s extended eligibility waiver, Trautwein has one year of eligibility remaining. She is a graduate transfer.
During her four years at North Texas, Trautwein established herself as one of the most consistent pitchers at a non-Power 5 school. She owns a career 2.05 ERA and an opponent’s batting average of .197. Trautwein also boasts 693 career strikeouts and 61 career victories.
In February, Trautwein put together what is believed to be the first immaculate complete game in NCAA softball history. In a matchup against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, she struck out all twenty-one batters and never allowed a base runner.
In addition to Trautwein, fellow Mean Green pitchers Ariel Thompson and Bailey Tindell also entered the portal on Tuesday.
The news of Trautwein’s transfer was first reported by Maren Angus of the Running Poles Podcast.
