TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Former Florida State standout Kaleigh Rafter has returned to her alma mater as the Seminoles’ new volunteer assistant coach.
Rafter spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons as part of Team Canada in preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games. She was the starting catcher for the Canadian squad and helped guide the national team to their first-ever softball medal, the bronze, in Tokyo.
Prior to taking a sabbatical from coaching in order to focus on Olympic prep, Rafter was an assistant coach at Virginia, working with the Cavaliers’ hitters, catchers, and infielders. She also spent a season on staff at Buffalo and played professionally in Japan after completing her collegiate career.
As a collegiate athlete, Rafter began her career at Detroit-Mercy before transferring to Florida State for her senior season.
