Former Baylor infielder Kassidy Krupit has announced her intentions to transfer to South Carolina.
In a statement posted on her Twitter account, Krupit said, “I am excited to announce that I am transferring to the University of South Carolina! I can’t wait to fulfill my childhood dream of playing softball in the SEC at such a great school! GO GAMECOCKS! SPURS UP!”
Krupit spent a single season at Baylor, starting all forty-nine games for the Bears. She hit .235 in her sole season in Waco, with ten home runs and twenty-nine RBI to her credit. She collected a .443 slugging percentage and scored sixteen runs on the season, with a .310 on-base percentage.
A Suwanee, Georgia native, Krupit also recorded thirty-two innings pitched for the Bears, recording fifteen appearances and three starts in the circle. She posted a 6.56 ERA in her limited outings, allowing thirty earned runs while striking out thirteen.
In transferring to South Carolina, Krupit joins a Gamecocks club that finished the 2019 season with a 38-19 overall record and a 9-14 mark in SEC play. The Gamecocks were eliminated in the Tallahassee regional final, just one year removed from a Super Regional berth in 2018.
