Just a week into her tenure as Ole Miss head coach, Jamie Trachsel has made the first addition to her coaching staff with the hiring of hitting coach Katie Rietkovich-Browder.
Rietkovich-Browder spent two years with Trachsel at Minnesota, and was part of the 2019 coaching staff that led the Gophers to the program’s first-ever berth in the Women’s College World Series.
Prior to joining the staff in Minneapolis, Rietkovich-Browder spent three seasons on staff at Ole Miss as a volunteer assistant coach. During her initial tenure in Oxford, she worked with the program’s slappers and catching corps. Rietkovich-Browder also previously spent one season as an assistant coach at Savannah State.
During her playing days, Rietkovich-Browder spent one season at Georgia before finishing her career at USC-Beaufort and Reinhardt University. She was part of the 2010 Georgia roster that finished third at the Women’s College World Series.
Ole Miss’ offense finished the abbreviated 2020 season with a .256 team batting average and 17 home runs.
