Former Texas A&M speedster Keeli Milligan has made a decision on her new home, as she will transfer to Louisiana-Lafayette, sources have confirmed to Justin’s World of Softball.
Milligan announced earlier in June that she would be leaving the Aggies program following the completion of her junior season in 2018. She received her release from Texas A&M and will be eligible to play immediately in 2019 at Louisiana-Lafayette.
A speedy outfielder, Milligan was named to the National Player of the Year watch list before the 2017 season. She was a top ten finalist for the Division I National Freshman of the Year award in 2016 and earned all-SEC and all-region second team honors that same year.
In the 2018 season, Milligan hit .307 in fifty-seven games, posting a .400 on-base percentage with 29 stolen bases in 32 attempts.
She joins a Louisiana-Lafayette roster that posted a 41-16 overall record in 2018, head coach Gerry Glasco’s first season as head coach. The Cajuns were 21-6 in Sun Belt conference games and recorded 84 stolen bases in 108 attempts overall during the season.
