Former Boise State pitcher Kelsey Broadus is transferring to Texas A&M, she announced on social media on Wednesday.
“I’m moving to College Station!!” Broadus wrote in a post on her Twitter account. “I’ve decided to finish my softball career & academic career as a Texas A&M Aggie! Can’t wait to compete in the SEC!! Gig em!!”
Broadus was the Mountain West Pitcher of the Year in 2018, earning first-team all-conference and second-team all-Region honors that same year. During her four years as a Bronco, Broadus collected a 2.75 ERA, 362 strikeouts, and a .215 opponent’s batting average.
During the shortened 2020 season, Broadus was off to a career-best start, sporting a 6-1 record and a 2.35 ERA on the year. She allowed just fourteen earned runs in 41.2 innings of work, and limited opponents to a .199 batting mark against her.
The Texas A&M pitching staff posted a 2.89 ERA and a 17-9 record in 169.2 innings of work during the 2020 campaign.
