Minnesota all-American catcher Kendyl Lindaman has elected to enter the NCAA transfer portal and leave the Golden Gophers.
Sources have confirmed the report to Justin’s World of Softball, while multiple teammates of Lindaman’s also confirmed the news via their own social media accounts.
Lindaman is a two-time all-American selection, earning nominations to the First team in 2017 and Second team in 2018. Twice also named the Big Ten Player of the Year, Lindaman hit over .500 in conference play during the ’18 season and owns forty home runs from her pair of seasons as a Golden Gopher.
The third-year backstop’s trophy case includes the 2017 Big Ten Freshman of the Year award, as well as consecutive first-team all-conference and all-region nominations. Lindaman was additionally a top-3 finalist for the National Freshman of the Year award during her rookie year.
As she finds a new home, Lindaman carries a career batting average of .393, with forty home runs and 131 RBI. She owns a .865 career slugging percentage and a .565 on-base percentage, with 118 career walks.
