Former Kennesaw State player Kelli McGrail has passed away. McGrail was 23 years old.
“Kelli McGrail was one of the kindest, funniest, and most joyful souls,” read a tribute from one former teammate on social media.
A Kennesaw native, McGrail began her playing career at Kennesaw State before later moving to Georgia Gwinnett College. She was part of the 2017 Kennesaw State team that participated in the National Invitational Softball Championship, the first postseason appearance for the program at the Division I level.
Prior to her college career, McGrail played for Kennesaw Mountain High School and the Georgia Impact travel ball organization.
