TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Incarnate Word has named Kim Dean as the program’s new head coach.
Dean spent the last four seasons as the head coach at Georgia Southern, collecting an overall record of 82-89 during her tenure leading the Eagles. She guided the GSU program to a 32-47 mark in Sun Belt conference play.
During the 2021 season, Georgia Southern posted a 17-26 overall record. Against Florida on two separate occasions early in the season, the Eagles held late-game leads over the top-5 Gators, only to be beaten at the proverbial 11th hour. The Eagles were eliminated from the Sun Belt tournament in the single-elimination opening round.
Prior to taking the helm at Georgia Southern, Dean spent one season as the head coach at Armstrong State before that school merged with Georgia Southern. Her coaching resume also includes a stint on staff at Southern Indiana, as well as a tenure in a support role at Wisconsin-Parkside.
At Incarnate Word, Dean takes the helm of a program that went 16-27 overall during the 2021 season and posted a 9-18 record in conference play.
