TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
South Carolina and associate head coach Lisa Navas are parting ways, sources confirmed to JWOS on Friday.
Navas spent nine years on Beverly Smith’s staff in Columbia, having joined the program in July of 2012. She was the team’s primary infield and catching coach.
Prior to her tenure with the Gamecocks, Navas worked with the Carolina Diamonds’ professional team and was part of the Coaching Staff of the Year while leading the franchise.
She was responsible for beginning the North Carolina State program in 2004, and earned nearly 300 wins during nine years leading that program. Her tenure in Raleigh included the 2006 ACC championship and a pair of NCAA tournament appearances.
A veteran coach, Navas’ resume also includes stints as an assistant coach at North Carolina and Missouri, as well as time at Division II Barry University.
