Louisville has added a pair of players via the transfer portal.
Former Auburn players Chardonnay Harris and Carmyn Greenwood, both of whom entered the NCAA’s transfer portal after the season, have been announced as the newest members of the Cardinals’ roster for the 2020 campaign.
Harris pitched well for the Tigers down the stretch in 2019, including a complete-game, shutout victory over Missouri in the SEC Tournament. She finished the ’19 season with an 11-7 overall record and a 2.91 ERA. For her career as a Tiger, Harris collected fourteen wins and 164 strikeouts in 144.1 innings of work.
Greenwood was used more sparingly during her time in Auburn, appearing in ninety-two games through 2017 and 2019, her two on-field seasons as a Tiger bookending her 2018 redshirt year, but starting just thirty-seven. She finished her Auburn career with a .216 batting average, ten RBI, and twenty-two walks.
An incoming junior, Harris has two years of eligibility remaining. Greenwood also has two years of eligibility remaining, as a redshirt junior next season.
The Louisville Cardinals finished the 2019 season with a 35-23 overall record, including a 12-12 conference mark during Holly Aprile’s inaugural season as head coach. The Cardinals reached the regional final of the Evanston, Illinois regional before ultimately falling to host team Northwestern.
