Lindsay Fico has been hired as the new head coach at Mercer, the school announced on Wednesday.
Fico spent the last three seasons as the head coach at Santa Fe College, a junior college in Gainesville, Florida. During the 2021 season, Fico led her program to a 31-16 record and an appearance in the FCSAA State Tournament.
Over her three years at Santa Fe, Fico led the Saints to a 70-58 win-loss record. Fico also has served as a coach in the Florida Gulf Coast League, coaching the Bradenton Lynx in the summer league.
A 2006 graduate of Florida, Fico played in more than two hundred career games as a Gator. She was a co-captain of the 2006 Gators team.
Prior to her tenure at Santa Fe, Fico gave private instruction and coached a travel ball team for six years.
