North Carolina A&T has named Patti Raduenz as the program’s new head coach.
Raduenz has spent the last two years as the Director of Operations for the UNC-Wilmington women’s basketball program and previously spent six years as the director for Barefoot Basketball Camps, according to a school press release.
Before beginning her career on the hardwood, Raduenz spent eleven seasons as the head coach at Elon. She led the Phoenix to the SoCon championship in 2010 and was named the 2002 Big South Coach of the Year.
In addition to her decade-plus at Elon, Raduenz’s softball resume includes time as an assistant coach at North Carolina, Sacramento State, and Iowa State.
A 2016 inductee into the Michigan State Athletics Hall of Fame, Raduenz finished her playing career as a Spartan as the program’s all-time hits leader, a pair of all-Big Ten honors, and a second-team all-American nod in her senior year.
The Aggies posted a 9-30 overall record during the 2019 season, including a 5-10 record in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play. The program posted a .242 team batting average, while the pitching staff allowed a 5.30 cumulative ERA.
