Alysen Febrey is transferring to Oklahoma State, the school announced on Friday afternoon.
Febrey becomes the latest high-profile transfer to join the Cowgirls; she follows former ACC standouts Carrie Eberle and Hayley Busby, who each announced their transfer to OSU earlier in the summer. Immediately eligible to play for the Cowgirls, Febrey has a single season of eligibility remaining.
During her career at Georgia, Febrey became a stalwart in the Bulldogs’ lineup. During the 2019 season, she batted .314 and collected nine home runs and thirty-six RBI, with eleven doubles and seven stolen bases to her credit.
Febrey’s career line from her tenure at Georgia includes a .330 batting average, with eighteen home runs, eighty-two RBIs, and twenty-eight doubles. She earned back-to-back Second Team All-Region honors in 2018 and ’19.
At Oklahoma State, Febrey joins a Cowgirls squad looking to earn a repeat appearance in the Women’s College World Series. Head coach Kenny Gajewski and Co. went 45-17 overall on the 2019 season, with a 13-5 conference record and the #13 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.
