TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Manhattan head coach Tom Pardalis has retired after twelve seasons, the school announced on Tuesday.
Pardalis led the Jaspers to the MAAC tournament championship and the NCAA tournament in 2021 for the first time in more than two decades, and is the winningest coach in program history. He owns 275 career wins and a record of 275-274-1 while at Manhattan.
Under his guidance, Pardalis led the Jaspers to the MAAC tournament eight times and posted a 121-93 record in conference play during his tenure.
Three Jasper players earned major conference awards under Pardalis’ shepherding – Nicole Williams was the 2021 MAAC Championship’s Most Outstanding Performer, as well as the league’s 2017 Rookie of the Year. Pardalis also presided over the 2019 Defensive Player of the Year (Lauren Pitney) and the 2015 MAAC Player of the Year (Elena Bowman).
Prior to taking over at Manhattan College, Pardalis was an assistant coach at Western Connecticut State and Marist, and also spent several years coaching at the high school and club ball levels. He was a physical education teacher for nearly four decades before retiring from that role in 2009.
Cat Clifford has been named the Jaspers’ interim head coach.
