Massachusetts head coach Kristi Stefanoni has agreed to a contract extension that will keep her with the Minutewomen through the 2021 season.
Stefanoni completed her fifth season at the program’s helm with the conclusion of the 2018 campaign and holds a 121-112-1 overall record during her tenure.
Most recently, during the 2018 season, Stefanoni led the Minutewomen to a 35-14 overall record, with a perfect 21-0 mark in Atlantic 10 conference games. The squad won the A-10 regular season title, while Stefanoni was named the conference’s Coach of the Year.
The 2019 season will mark Stefanoni’s seventeenth as a part of the Minutewomen program. A program alum, Stefanoni led the squad to the NCAA tournament in each of her four years as a player, including a Super Regional berth in 2006. She has been a part of nine NCAA tournament appearances during her time in Amherst.
Under Stefanoni, the Minutewomen have finished in the top three of the conference standings in each of the last three seasons.
