TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Amanda Eberhart is the new head coach at Valparaiso, the school announced on Friday.
Eberhart most recently was the head coach at Omaha, leading the Mavericks program for three seasons. During her tenure, the Mavericks enjoyed a successful turnaround on the field, to the tune of a 15-win improvement from 2019 to 2021 and a second-place finish in the Summit League this season.
Prior to her tenure at Omaha, Eberhart – then known as Amanda Rivera – spent a 2-year stint on staff at Purdue. Her coaching resume includes time as a head coach at IUPUI, as well as stints as an assistant coach at Northwestern, North Carolina State, Indiana, and Illinois-Chicago.
“One thing was clear from the beginning of our conversations with Coach Eberhart: her commitment to helping student-athletes reach their full potential in all areas of their lives,” Valpo athletic director Mark LaBarbera said in a school release. “She has a proven record of strengthening programs and providing quality experiences. We are excited to welcome her to the Valpo Athletics family.”
