Who is she? Morgan Lowers, a former outfielder for the Winthrop Eagles.
What is she known for?Lowers was a four-year starter in the outfield during her career as an Eagle, and ended her career with a career .305 batting average in nearly 700 at-bats. During her senior year in 2019, she batted .347, with sixteen extra base hits and a .479 slugging percentage. She led the team in batting average, runs scored, and hits during her senior year.

Quotable quote: “If I had to pass a piece of advice to the next generation, it would be that you need to be the most coachable player on the field. It’s very easy to get stuck in your ways, especially if you are producing at the plate. Coaches have more knowledge and are way wiser beyond what you know at that very moment. Take in every piece of criticism they give you and do NOT take it personally.”
What’s she up to now? After graduating from Winthrop in 2019, Lowers now works as a news producer at ABC News 4 in Charleston, South Carolina. She produces the station’s morning news show, and says she loves the daily new challenges and fast-paced environment.
