The ten finalists for the Senior CLASS Award were announced on Friday.
The list is headlined by four PAC-12 stars, including Washington’s Sis Bates; UCLA’s Rachel Garcia and Bubba Nickles; and Arizona’s Jessie Harper.
Qualifications to be eligible for the award, according to the award’s website, include being classified as a Division I senior and having notable achievements in four arenas: community, classroom, character, and competition.
An initial list of thirty candidates was whittled down to the ten finalists by a selection committee, and fan voting will play a role in determining the award winner. Votes from fans will be combined with those of media and Division 1 head coaches to determine the ultimate Senior CLASS Award winner.
The full list of 2021 Senior CLASS Award finalists includes Sis Bates (IF/Washington); AnaMarie Bruni (OF/South Florida); Amber Fiser (P/Minnesota); Sydney Fisher (UT/Radford); Rachel Garcia (P-UT/UCLA); Jessie Harper (IF/Arizona); Kendyl Lindaman (1B/Florida); Bubba Nickles (UT/UCLA); Kayla Wedl (IF/UIC); and Sami Williams (IF/Iowa State).
Recent winners of the Senior CLASS Award include Kentucky’s Katie Reed in 2019 and Tennessee’s Meghan Gregg in 2018. The award was not presented in 2020.
