Belmont is searching for a head coach to replace Megan Rhodes Smith, who accepted the Tennessee pitching coach job earlier in June. Smith spent one season as the Bruins' head coach, finishing the 2020 season with a 5-14 overall record. The program finished the 2019 campaign with a 31-23 record.
A Belmont spokesperson confirmed on Monday that the school intends to conduct a national search for their new head coach, and hope to have one in place by the time the fall semester begins.
