Ashley Obrest has been named the volunteer assistant coach for the Boston University Terriers.
Obrest spent the last eight years as the head coach at Boston College, before parting ways with the Eagles after the 2019 spring season.
During her tenure at the helm of the BC program, Obrest collected a 200-219 overall record, with a 66-113 mark against ACC opponents. The squad posted a winning record in five straight seasons from 2014-18, and finished the 2019 season with an 18-35 record. The Eagles batted .249 as a team during the ’19 campaign.
Prior to her tenure at Boston College, Obrest was an assistant coach and the head coach at Colgate, and her resume also includes a stint on staff at Concordia-Chicago.
Boston University posted a 37-20 record during the 2019 season, with a 15-2 conference record, and reached the NCAA tournament through the Patriot League’s automatic bid as conference champions. The Terriers reached the Regional round of the postseason for the second consecutive year.
