Akron is hiring Danielle L’Argent as an assistant coach, JWOS has learned.
L’Argent confirmed the move on her social media pages, writing “Well, it’s official! I have accepted an assistant softball coach position at The University of Akron. Beyond excited for this chapter, and to be a Zip!!”
Most recently, L’Argent spent three seasons on staff at Hillsdale College, a Division II school where she helped guide the program to the conference tournament crown in 2019 and a pair of postseason appearances. Her coaching resume also includes stops at Concordia-Portland and Saint Martin’s.
In joining the staff at Akron, L’Argent joins a Zips program that posted an 8-46 overall record during the 2021 season, with a 7-33 showing in conference play and a team batting average of .215.
