Four Oklahoma Sooners entered the transfer portal on Monday afternoon, sources confirmed to JWOS.
Three of the players – Kinsey Koeltzow, Brooke Vestal, Paige Knight – played sparingly for the Sooners during the 2021 season. The fourth, Eliyah Flores, departed the program before the season, as JWOS exclusively reported at the time.
Vestal, a former top recruit from the Firecrackers organization and Canyon High School, was an Academic All-Big 12 honoree in 2020 and played in eight games as a redshirt freshman that year. During the 2021 season, she threw 7.1 innings across seven appearances and gave up three hits and no runs while collecting five strikeouts.
Koeltzow appeared in 29 games with no starts, batting .385 with five hits and two RBIs to her credit. She earned two walks and struck out twice, and was unsuccessful in one stolen base attempt.
Knight appeared in eight games for the Sooners, collecting three hits in five at-bats for a .600 batting average. She hit one home run, scored five runs, and collected six RBIs.
Eliyah Flores left the OU team prior to the 2021 season, but did not enter the portal at that time. She was the Sooners’ every day third baseman in 2020 and owns a .224 career batting average. Her sister Alycia, two years younger, also departed the Sooners’ roster in the preseason and entered the transfer portal on March 24th.
