Jarvis, who spent her freshman season at Youngstown State, collected a 12-11 overall record for the Penguins, along with a 2.58 ERA. She allowed 149 hits and assembled a nearly 4/1 strikeout/walk ratio in 170.2 innings of work in the circle.
Following her inaugural collegiate season – a year that also included an opponent’s batting average of .233 – Jarvis earned the conference’s Freshman of the Year award, and was also named to the all-conference second team and all-freshman team.
In addition to her accolades, Jarvis quickly and permanently etched her name in the program record books, setting the YSU single-season strikeout record.
A native of Vienna, Ohio, Jarvis’ Youngstown State biography lists her major as biochemistry. She entered the transfer portal on October 28th.
