TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Former Alabama outfielder KB Sides is transferring to Arkansas, she announced on social media on Saturday.
“When God closes one door He leaves a crack in a new one. I can’t wait to be a RAZORBACK and wear #8. WOO PIG,” Sides wrote on her Twitter account.
Sides has one year of eligibility remaining, and is a grad transfer following a 4-year career at Alabama. A Crimson Tide player from 2018-21, she gained a 5th year of eligibility under the NCAA’s extended eligibility waiver following the abrupt end to the 2020 season.
During her career at Alabama, Sides was an every day starter for the Tide for the final three seasons of her career and was a fixture in right field for the Tide. She earned 3rd-team all-region honors in 2021 and was a member of the All-SEC Tournament team in 2019.
In 2021, Sides statistically finished fifth on the Crimson Tide roster with a .314 batting average and fourth on the team with an .814 OPS. She hit eleven doubles, scored 33 runs, and recorded twenty RBIs.
