TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
The Fresno State Bulldogs officially announced Linda Garza’s departure earlier this week, opening the head coaching position once-again at one of college softball’s most storied mid-major programs. Garza spent the better part of five seasons leading the Bulldogs, and the team won the 2021 Mountain West title.
Following Margie Wright’s retirement after numerous successful decades as head coach, Fresno State has had a good run of luck with successful head coaches. Trisha Ford had considerable success before departing for Fresno State, and Garza’s team performed well over the last several years. Fresno State remains a top job in the softball sense, especially as part of the exclusive fraternity of former national champions.
Could one of these candidates be the Bulldogs’ next head coach?
